Life Cycle of a Bobcat
Bobcats typically den in crevices in rocks, under fallen logs, or under the root mass of a fallen trees.
The Bobcat mates between February and March, and then gives birth to a litter of between one and seven kittens in late April of early May. Most litters contain two to four kittens.
The kittens are born with their eyes closed, and open them approximately ten days later.
The kittens are weaned after ten to twelve weeks.
The kittens stay with their mothers for about a year.
An adult Bobcat usually lives to around twelve to thirteen years in the wild.
